Posted on 11:09 PM by Unknown

After installing Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Service Pack 2 (x64) Operating System (OS) on the Dell Precision T5500 workstation, there are some unknown devices in the Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager as shown below:

1. Ethernet Controller
-> Using Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller. Installing the Windows 7 64 bits device drivers using Broadcom 57XX Gigabit Integrated Controller version 15.0.0, A04 (R267778.exe) or higher version.

2. SM Bus Controller
3. System Interrupt Controller
-> Both the SM Bus Controller and System Interrupt Controller are using the Intel ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R DO SATA Raid Controller. Installing the Windows Vista 64 bits device drivers using the "Chipset -> Intel driver version 9.1.0.1007, A23 (R205428.exe) or higher version" from Dell.

The Dell Precision T5500 workstation comes with the nVidia Quadro FX 580 video adapter. Download the nVidia Quadro FX 580 video adapter by choosing Quadro -> Quadro FX series -> Quadro FX 580 -> Quadro Graphics driver -> Windows Server 2008 x64 R2.
